Is your Iris TV suddenly giving you trouble? Perhaps the image isn’t showing up, you have no sound, or you have no connection at all. The list can be long, but don’t worry, we’ve compiled the most common situations to help you solve the issue! In just a few minutes, your Iris TV problems will be a thing of the past.
Iris TV Won’t Turn On
If your Iris TV won’t turn on, there could be several difficulties causing the problem.
Start by checking the connections at the wall outlet or power strip. Then, check the connections at the TV, specifically the power cable. If the power cable is loose, damaged, frayed, cut, or crushed under furniture, reattach or replace it.
The issue could also be due to a power supply defect in the motherboard through the opto-coupler circuit. If your TV is still under warranty, contact your retailer, otherwise seek help from a professional.
Iris TV Screen Black
If the screen of your Iris TV remains black even though the power light is on, the problem could be minor or more problematic.
A black screen could be due to a connection defect. After examining the integrity of the HDMI cable, also make sure it’s correctly connected and that the selected signal source is the right one.
The second reason is more technical. It could be due to a defective LED strip, located behind the TV screen, providing the necessary light to see the image. To check if it’s the issue, use a small flashlight or the flash of your smartphone. Turn on your TV and hold it close to the screen. If you see the image in the background, the backlight is causing the problem. You can change it yourself if you’re handy and cautious, and use a tutorial for assistance. Otherwise, it’s best to call a repairman, especially if your TV is still under warranty.
Iris TV Wi-Fi Problem
No Wi-Fi on your Iris TV? That means you can’t connect to the internet and enjoy streaming applications. This doesn’t necessarily mean that your TV is the issue.
Start by checking that you have Wi-Fi on other devices, such as your smartphone. Also make sure the speed is normal by performing a speed test.
Once you’ve ruled out issues with your home connection, start by restarting your TV. This is called an electrical reset. Simply unplug it from the power source and wait 5 minutes before plugging it in and turning it back on. This often solves certain malfunctions.
Check that all cables are properly connected, especially those connecting your box to the television.
If the connection issues with your Iris TV persist, go to its Wi-Fi settings. Select the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen, go to Network and then Wi-Fi. You should see your home network appear. If it doesn’t, perform a search to make it appear. It may be necessary to enter your Wi-Fi password again.
As a last resort, you can consider resetting your Iris TV. To do so, if you have an Android TV, follow this procedure: Menu > Settings (gear icon) > Storage and Reset > Factory data reset > Erase everything.
If your TV runs on another operating system, consult the manual to learn more.
Iris TV Sound Problem
No sound or degraded sound quality on your Iris TV? You have several options to explore:
If the sound is totally absent or very low only on a particular source, check the volume of the device connected to that source. It may be set very low or in silent mode. This may seem obvious, but it’s best to check this first.
