Signing Up for Telegram Without a SIM Card
Since the advent of social media and messaging apps, personal data has become a commodity like any other. That’s why it’s never been more important to ensure the security of your data. Today, we know that all of our personal information can be easily collected, used, and exploited by third parties.
Aware of this problem, Telegram has made significant changes to the way its messaging works. For example, the application offers new ways to protect user anonymity.
Until now, to open an account on Telegram, you had no choice but to provide your phone number. The good news is that from now on, the Telegram team is relaxing the terms of registration for their messaging app.
This means that it is now possible to create a Telegram account without a SIM card. However, there is still a small caveat concerning the registration process. It is no longer necessary to have a SIM card on the device you are using to create a Telegram account. However, you will still need to enter a phone number to connect to the messaging app.
If you absolutely want to keep your mobile number secret, Telegram will offer to sell you a phone number powered by Fragment’s blockchain platform. Note that the Fragment service is not available in all countries around the world. For example, the company does not operate in the United States.
