WhatsApp Real-time Location

On WhatsApp, you can easily share your location with anyone you choose, in real-time. This feature can be used in both individual chats and group chats, and can be turned off at any time.

When you share your location, the person or people you’ve shared it with will be able to see a thumbnail image of your location. They can tap on the image to see your most recent location update. Only those you’ve given permission to can see your location, and only for the time period you’ve designated.

To share your location on WhatsApp, follow these steps:

  1. Open a chat
  2. Tap on “Attach”
  3. Press on “Location”
  4. Select “Share Live Location”
  5. Indicate the duration of time you want to share (15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours)
  6. Add a comment if desired
  7. Confirm sending

When you’re ready to stop sharing your location, go back to the chat and tap on the red text that allows you to do so.

Google Maps Real-time Location

Sharing your location with someone using Google Maps is a simple process that can be done on both Android and iPhone devices.

To share your location with someone:

  1. Open Google Maps and log in
  2. Tap on your profile picture or the initial
  3. Select “Share location”
  4. Choose the duration of time you want to share your location (1 hour, until manually turned off)
  5. Select the person or contact you want to share your location with
  6. If the person is not in your contacts, you can easily add them
  7. Tap “Share”

Please note that if you want to share your location for more than 24 hours, you may need to indicate your age and be over 18 years of age. Additionally, you can share your location as long as you need, and can stop sharing at any time.

Telegram Real-time Location

Telegram offers a unique feature where not only can you share your location with another person, but you can also receive notifications when you are close to someone. This works both ways, so the other person can also ask to be alerted when you are within a certain distance.

To share your location in Telegram:

  1. Open Telegram
  2. Go to the chat you want to share your location in
  3. Click on the attachment icon (next to the microphone, in the bottom right corner)
  4. Click on “Location”
  5. Choose “Real-time location”
  6. Choose the duration of time you want to share your location (15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours)

To receive notifications when you are close to someone, you will need to share your location with them and ask them to alert you when they are within a certain distance from you. To do this, click on the preview of their map and click on the bell icon with the radar. Choose the distance at which you want to be notified.

You can stop sharing your location at any time by either waiting for the designated time to pass or by clicking on the image of your location and then clicking on “Stop sharing” that appears on the screen below.
