Locker – Something that asks a user to complete an offer in order to gain access to content, URL or download. (See an example here).
EPC – Earning Per Click (earnings are divided by the number of clicks on an offer).
Leads – Actions completed, potential sales generated, number of people who made you money.
CTR / CR – Click-through rate. It’s the number of people who make you money compared to the number of people who clicked on an offer.
Niche – A section of a market. For example, “video games” are a niche in the “games” market.
How content-locking or content-locking works
The incentive principle that I mentioned earlier is key to the concept of content-locking.
For example, if I decided to write a small e-book titled “10 Proven Weight Loss Tips”, I would “lock” the download and ask my visitor to sign up for a newsletter. diet information so he can download the e-book.
