Aesthetics of B760M DS3H AX DDR4
The B760M DS3H AX DDR4 motherboard has a plain look with a black PCB adorned with light grey decorations for contrast. As a budget-oriented board, it does not come with an integrated I/O shield design, nor even with built-in RGB LED accents. However, it does come with integrated RGB headers, which we will discuss later.
VRM and Memory Support
The power delivery solution for the board is a mid-power solution consisting of a 6 + 2 + 1 phase setup. Memory support is provided through four DDR4 slots. The board supports up to 128GB of RAM up to DDR4 5333 frequencies (overclocked).
Front Panel USB Connectors
The Gigabyte B760M DS3H AX DDR4 motherboard provides a good set of front panel connectors, providing one USB 3.2 Gen 1 header for the front panel, which in turn provides the ability to install two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the front panel. However, it does not come with a front panel USB Type-C header.
Expansion Slots and Storage Options
In terms of expansion slots, the B760M DS3H AX DDR4 motherboard comes with one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot made of plastic, featuring the EZ-Latch feature, essentially a handy solution to help maintain large graphics cards when removing them more easily and less painfully, especially in already operating computers (not in the building stage). Two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots are also included.
Audio and Internet Solution
As an economy-class motherboard, there are no surprises here knowing that Gigabyte included the Realtek ALC897 audio codec. The wired internet connection is the Realtek RTL8125BG which provides 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet support.
All B760M DS3H AX DDR4versions support WIFI 6E:
- Revision 1.0: AMD RZ608 WIFI 6E (80 MHz) + Bluetooth 5.2
- Revision 1.1: Intel AX210 WIFI 6E (160 MHz) + Bluetooth 5.3
- Revision 1.2: Intel AX211 WIFI 6E (160 MHz) + Bluetooth 5.3
- Revision 1.3: Realtek RTL8852CE WIFI 6E (160 MHz) + Bluetooth 5.3
Fan and RGB Connectors
The B760M DS3H AX DDR4 model comes with four fan connectors: one CPU_FAN, and three SYS_FAN connectors. It also includes one controllable RGB header, in addition to a 12-volt RGB header.

Gigabyte B760M DS3H AX DDR4 Motherboard Performance Results
As with most motherboards, gaming and heavy software operation don’t present a significant performance difference. This means that this motherboard provides a balanced combination of price, aesthetics, and features, without neglecting performance.
The raw performance of motherboards doesn’t change your gaming or software experience as games primarily depend on the processor and graphics card. Even if a motherboard provides better frequencies and overclocking for these components, performance won’t differ significantly, regardless of whether the motherboard belongs to a higher or lower category.
When choosing a motherboard, the primary concern is its features and its ability to overclock the processor to achieve good numbers, which can extract the power of new graphics cards and processors.
Motherboard Performance Benchmarks
Typically, we began by checking the temperatures and frequencies at the standard and normal fan setting. The results were quite good, with a standard processor temperature around 32 degrees for the Core i5 12400, and a system temperature of about 31 degrees Celsius. Other essential components on the motherboard had similar temperatures.
The memory was functioning at its original frequencies without any problems at 3591MHz, and the processor was working at its standard frequencies of 3991MHz without any issue, as shown in the pictures. These frequencies are, of course, with XMP 3.0 technology enabled.
The storage unit was also operating at its base speed of 3600 for reading and 2500 for writing.
